This Madonna Inn Pink Champagne Cake is frilly, fluffy, and whipped to perfection. A shaggy coating of pink white chocolate gives this cake it’s renowned appearance!
I’m catching up with posting, I’m all delayed from Friday. That post will be coming on Wednesday. For now I’m doing a light Cake parade of this Frilly Fluffy Pink Cake. A remake of the Madonna Inn’s famous Pink Champagne Cake, it has everything but those famous pink curls.
This cake has a angel food like texture, a creamy Bavarian cream, and a delicate stabilized whipped cream. I used this recipe online and made some adjustments. This cake recipe is still in my test kitchen, I feel the need to make it less sloppy to cut and decorate.
I did some adjustments. One of my favorite changes is infusing the filling and frosting’s cream with vanilla beans. I feel that this cake needs even more vanilla as well.
Champagne is a hard flavor to deal with. It’s delicate and subtle and the flavors bakes out. The recipe I’ve food are a mixed bags of luck. I one going into this recipe further will need some workings with flavor and texture.
Despite this testing, it’s still good to bask in the pink frills of this cake!
